During the 2023 voter registration awareness campaign, the Conscientious Youth Empowerment Foundation actively carried out its mandate by sensitising the general public on the importance of participating in the exercise. Through community outreach, advocacy visits, and public engagement initiatives, the foundation worked to ensure that citizens—especially young people—understood the value of registering to vote and taking part in the democratic process.
As part of this broader effort, the foundation also embarked on a project to mount a large billboard banner with a bold message discouraging the sale of votes during elections. Strategically positioned for maximum visibility, the banner reminded citizens of the dangers and long-term consequences of vote-selling, urging them instead to make informed and independent choices at the polls. This initiative further demonstrated the foundation’s commitment to promoting electoral integrity and strengthening democratic values across the community.
The Conscientious Youth Empowerment Foundation recently embarked on an impactful outreach initiative in Lafiag, located in the North Side of Kwara State. The primary goal of this campaign was to encourage parents to enroll their children in school and to emphasize the importance of education for youth development.
During this initiative, foundation members engaged with local parents, providing them with information about the benefits of quality education. They highlighted how education not only equips children with essential skills and knowledge but also opens doors to better opportunities in the future. The team also addressed common misconceptions and barriers that may prevent families from prioritizing education, such as financial constraints or a lack of awareness about available resources
On a recent mission driven by compassion and a commitment to education, members of The Conscientious Youth Empowerment Foundation embarked on a journey to Ave Maria School, a remarkable institution located in Lafiagi, in the northern region of Kwara State. The four-hour drive from the state capital provided an opportunity for reflection on the impact of our visit and a renewed sense of purpose in our mission to empower less privileged communities.
During the 2023 electoral campaign on voter registration and the “Vote, Not Fight” and Election No War initiative in Abuja, the Conscientious Youth Empowerment Foundation was selected to represent Kwara State at the national conference — a responsibility they carried out with excellence.
